Andrew Nicholas:
Family: Grew up in Maine with two loving parents married over 40 years. Father a Native American (Maliseet tribe) and mother a Native Vietnamese. I'm the baby with two brothers 13 and 11 years older than myself. Have 5 nieces and 1 nephew. Have an amazing wife, since Feb 09 and crazy loveable little boy since Feb 10.
Hobbies: I'm very technical, practical and efficient, love learning how things work, how they're done and fixing almost anything. Love saving money and analyzing things I acquire, to determine quality, value and durability. I Play acoustic guitar. Enjoy mountain/trail biking, working on cars, and stereos. I like Cooking cleaning organizing. (I really enjoy vacuuming :) Finding deals on high end things I would never buy at full price. If it's electronics I'm into it, but I don't own an ipod, iphone, ipad but I was given a macbook... it's an oxymoron, I know.
Random fact about me: I get a case of hyper activity at times but you'll probably never know it.
Favorite Music: 95%worship. Jason Upton, Jeff Deyo (original sonicflood), Charlie Hall, Matt Redman, Hillsong / United, DCB, Chris Tomlin, Delirious, Christy Nockles, leeland, Mercy me, casting crowns 5% christian rock, Sanctus Real, Kutless, Newsboys, Skillet, Red, old stuff: Church of Rhythm, Seven Day Jesus, Supertones, Dct, scarecrow & tinman, silage, pod & pillar

Favorite Scripture: Proverbs 3:5,6 They have been true of my life at every turn.
Biblical Hero: There's really one who pulled it all off so Jesus get's the title. I also think David's mighty men were quite a trip and I pray that I don't miss the potential in the spirit for my own life. Samuel 23:8–39 and 1 Chronicles 11:10–47.
Why I love youth ministry: Because they are still free to embrace the creative and imaginative world of truth. The lies of the world, sometimes the church and stresses of life have not so weighed them down. They think through the box and without the box, leaving little room for fake Christianity. I am ever challenged with the truth, knowing it and living it in their presence, because they are yawning at the crafted words and ways of man. (1 Cor 2: 1-5) Lastly I like they fact they are not too young to miss it and not to old to dismiss it.
Katherine Nicholas:
Family: I have wonderful parents who have been married for over thirty years, and I'm the middle child of seven with three older brothers, two younger sisters and a younger brother. I'm married to the most amazing man I know, and I'm the proud mother of one-year-old Gideon.
Hobbies: Reading, cooking (or at least attempting to) tasty meals for my family, cleaning, playing with my little toddler, beating my husband at Yahtzee ;)
Random fact about Me: I've been known to imitate prominent people in "ministry", quite accurately.
Favorite music: Worship. Rita Springer, Misty Edwards, Jason Upton, Charlie Hall, Tim Hughes, Jesus Culture...
If I was a crayon my name would be: White. Plain and simple.
Favorite scripture: I can't say that I can really choose a favorite, but one passage that is hopefully an expression of my life is Philippians 3:7-14
Biblical Hero: Of course the only true hero is Jesus Christ. Some others that have inspired me are: Esther, Stephen, Anna, Mary the mother of Jesus, Jeremiah.
Why I love youth ministry: I love youth ministry because they truly desire what's real. This challenges me in my own life and walk with God to make sure that it's all real, all the time. Plus, they're a lot of fun.

Biblical Hero: Samson. Reading about him in the Old Testament, I see a lot myself in him in more than one way.
Why I love youth ministry: I've always wanted to mentor those that are younger than I (since around high school) and hope that I can share some of my experiences with them so that they hopefully don't make some of the mistakes that I have. I fully realize that in this day and age, the need for mature, adult, Christian mentors has never been higher. I want to help teenagers follow a path that grows their relationship with God first and how that shapes everything else they will ever do in their life. I want to share with them how being faithful to God provides the greatest blessings in their life and that the only validation they should ever seek is in the Lord Himself.
