Nursery News

When you touch the hand of a child, you touch the heart of God.

We believe your child is a special gift from God , so we want to provide the best love and care possible. We provide loving care during Sunday School, AM, PM and Wednesday services. The nursery is open 15 minutes before and after service.

Ages-

Sunday AM service- birth to 27 months

Sunday PM service- birth to 4th birthday

Wednesday service- birth to 27 months

Our nursery is more than diapers and toys!

The ministry of the nursery touches lives for eternity.

What to Bring

Please label all personal items - diaper bags, bottles, pacifiers, sippee cups, etc - with your child's last name before arriving at your child's class

When You Arrive at Your Child's Room

A teacher will meet you at the door to receive your child, diaper bag, and any other necessary items. Please note on the sign-in sheet any information which will help in caring for your child, such as feeding and sleeping times, allergies and special needs.

You will be given a tag which has an identifying number on it. The number will appear in the sanctuary on the big screen if you are needed. Please present the tag upon return to your child's classroom. We will verify that your security badge matches your child's badge and then release your child to you. A child will not be released to a parent without presentation of the tag.

Saying Good-bye

After you have completed the check-in process, simply wave a quick good-bye and go to worship or Sunday School. As you know, it is normal for little ones to cry when leaving a parent. This does not last long, and separation becomes easier over time with consistency. Teachers will immediately create interest in a toy or activity and give assurance that you will return. If your child cries for an extended period of time, we will call for you.

Pick-Up Procedures

Please wait at the counter until your child is returned to you. When parents are in rooms it gets very hectic and a child could slip out the door without our knowing it. This is for the safety of your child.

What We Give Your Child

Snacks - Snacks are provided to our new walkers and toddlers. The food items consist of lemonade and goldfish. Please inform your child's teacher of any allergies

Opportunities for Parents

Volunteer Opportunities - Yes! Volunteers are always needed on Sunday mornings. Sunday evenings and Wednesday evenings. All parents of children in the nursery are strongly encouraged to volunteer. For more information please contact Jennifer Miller.
