ANNUAL CHILI COOK-OFFOur Women, along with Men's Ministries, is having their annual chili cook-off on November 2nd after the PM Service. This exciting event is open to men and women and a panel of judges will determined who will receive the prestigious ribbon awards. Awards are based on flaming hot, very hot, and the most unusual. Cost is minimal for the meal which will be served after the judges finish. Since a price cannot be placed on the fun that everyone enjoys - it will be free! LADIES HAVE 3 BOOTHS AT FALL FESTIVAL October 26, 2008 - 4 PM - 8 PM Our church annual fall festival is coming up real soon and it will be greater and bigger than ever! The festival is free; however, our ladies will have three booths from which items may be purchased. These are the Bake Shop; Craft Shop, and Gift Shop. Join us for a great time. Our festival is an alternative to Halloween and costumes are acceptable; but, please leave the scary ones at home. Email:

LADIES RETREAT IS HERE AGAIN!We've been waiting a whole year for it to happen - our get-away time. It's the time for us to have fun, fellowship, and of course - food - and last, but not least, a time to experience God in a special way and all ladies are invited. October 10, 11, 12, 2008 at the beautiful Calvin Center in Hampton, Georgia. Here's the scoop! Fee: $60.00 - Deposit due at sign-up: $30.00 - Balance due no later than October 5, 2008. Special Giving Project - Help us buy inflatables
Many of you are aware that the Children's Ministries Department is in the process of purchasing 4 inflatables. Currently, inflatables are used quarterly at children's events like the Fall Festival, Christmas Spectacular, Easter EGGstravaganza, and VBS. By owning inflatables, we will save money on continued rentals and we will have access to the inflatables for other special events that may have a smaller crowd and smaller budget. If you would like to designate a special offering (in addition to your tithe), please make the check payable to the Marietta Church of God and mark the envelope with "INFLATABLES". Or you can donate online and mark the Purpose of Donation as "INFLATABLES". All donations are tax deductible and we appreciate your support! |
